Jane’s Fighting Ships has been issued since 1898. The title varies: 1898-1904, All The World’s Fighting Ships; 1905-15, Fighting Ships; 1916- Jane’s Fighting Ships. The series was founded and for many years edited by F.T. Jane. Paul Blackstock and Frank Schaf review the 1972 edition, but the comments are valid for the more recent issues.
