The record of the court proceedings of the trial of Francis Gary Powers held in Moscow August 17-19, 1960. The trial record was released in English translation by the Soviet government within a matter of days after the trial. In the extensive introduction Harold J. Bermian, professor of law at Harvard University, discusses legal and moral aspects of espionage from aircraft and interprets events surrounding U.S. denials and admissions of the flight.
