An account of the spectacular cryptanalytic incident in the Pacific during World War II, in which a radio intercept by a U.S. radio intelligence unit indicated that Admiral lsoroku Yamamoto, architect of the Pearl Harbor attack and an undisputed strategic leader, would visit Bougainville. This intelligence led to the interception of his plane by Army Air Force Fighters and. his death.
