This is the army’s training manual on the techniques and concepts of evasion and escape. An examination of servicemen isolated during World War Il and the Korean and Vietnam Wars has shown that survival is an essential element of evasion and escape. Thus this manual included chapters on survival in cold and tropical areas as well as survival at sea and in internment and prisoner-of-war camps. Chapters on interrogation and indoctrination techniques used by potential enemies are also included,
