Reviewed by Paul W. Blackstock and Frank L. Schaf[1]

In spite of the sensational title of the American edition, this is a competent survey of Soviet espionage by a former British intelligence officer who has since authored some thirty books on war and espionage. Remarkably free of Cold War cant.
